Laura & David – A Manchester Town Hall Wedding and summery reception at The Black Swan, Hollins Green.
Our second meeting with Laura and David was just two days before their Manchester Town Hall wedding (we were both really busy!) but this turned out great as their enthusiasm and nerves for the big day were in full swing which gave us a much better idea of the flavour and feel of their wedding. It would be a day of contrasts with the grandeur of Manchester Town Hall against the country village feel at Hollins Green.
Early doors for this day of wedding celebrations
An early ceremony meant we were on the road early with Peter arriving at The Black Swan for nine o’clock, whilst I let the train take the strain and headed into the city centre :) The boys strolled, bake-off cakes in hand, through Salford and Manchester, good for capturing some natural city centre shots. Laura, her dad and bridesmaids all arrived by a Routemaster double decker bus, always looks great against the impressive backdrop of Manchester Town Hall and matched the red theme of the boys tissue paper button holes and ties.
Manchester Town Hall wedding bubbles :)
Bubble guns at the ready as Laura and David exited to a sea of bubbles and confetti! Great fun, for adults and kids alike :) Champers decanted on the steps of the bus, more bubbles to enjoy ;) Time for portrait photos of the new Mr & Mrs around the town hall’s amazing architecture, we totally love this venue! All aboard and off to The Black Swan, Hollins Green, near Warrington. Glorious June sunshine and a huge beer garden, duck pond and many ajoining barley fields too, for a really relaxed drinks reception.
Bake-off competition = lots of yummy cakes
The wedding breakfast culminated in the bake-off prize giving, the bestman’s cheese cake reigning supreme, and most importantly lots of cake to eat! Time for a breather and a short wander around the woods, wild flower meadows and barley fields with Laura and David, who were great to photograph and up for anything :) The late evening sun bathed the beer garden, DJ in full swing, let the dancing commence!
Congrats to Laura and David, all the time planning and effort really showed with a day reflecting their personalities and style. Enjoy married life together! :)
