FiveFour Studios wedding photography, Manchester (well Salford actually.)
Esme & James, didn’t want a usual run of the mill wedding. But they didn’t want an all out centre of attention extravanganza either and would prefer to melt into the background of a quirky environment. James suggested looking at this photo studio just outside Manchester city centre over the river in Salford, Esme was like ‘meh’ but went along. The rest as they say is history.
Chilled out wedding day vibe
We met up with Esme and James over at ours, as they were escaping house renovations at home. (Been there done that an it is so nice to escape the chaos if not just for a little while – hopefully it’s all done and looking gorgeous by now, as we’re a bit slow on blogging this one!) Anyway back to the wedding day. No fuss, no weddingy stuff, just a fun party vibe with family and friends – perfect, just how we like it. Esme got ready back at her mum’s house (into a fantastic 1920’s style dress) whilst James arrived suited and booted looking very much the groom, in his tux attire.
FiveFour Studios wedding ceremony
Our first wedding in a photo studio and I suspect a first for everyone there. This is a venue of two halves, light and dark in their extremes! Now we love a bit of dark and no-one ever complains at a bit of light, so we were in our element. Oh and added to all that Frog Flowers of Manchester had worked their epic magic with tropical flowers which just popped with colour against the white hi-key backdrops. Relaxed rustic bench seating and a speedy ceremony mean that the understated vibe for the day was achieved with these guys saying their I do’s and out of there within the blink of an eye.
FiveFour Studios – the dark side
From bright white to the moody atmospheric light of the reception drinks bar. From the outside of this inauspicious venue you would never assume such a trendy bar vibe. A perfect mix of bar area and seating areas meant this place really worked for a chilled out wedding drinks reception. Congrats and the best bride smiles ever from Esme made this just perfect for those fleeting moments we thrive on.
Back into the light for sharing platters
No speeches – just a quick thanks from the bride and groom and it was time for some yummy nosh. Sharing platters and desserts on dry ice added to the drama and unique feel to the day. Into the evening the stars of the show were Jenna & the G’s one of their favourite bands which they’d managed to book for their day. Ooo and did we mention delicious pizza’s later into the evening perfect to soak up that excess alcohol.
A truly perfect day for this Manchester couple, city vibes, quirky interiors, amazing toons, yummy food, fab party and on the side they just happened to get married. Congrats to Esme & James!!!
If you’re thinking of tying the knot at FiveFour studios, then go for it, it’s a fantastic alternative Manchester wedding venue – oh and if you’d like some photography well you know where we are :)
