Sarah & Nick – Haworth Art Gallery & Farm Marquee Wedding
So the week after our wedding we were snapping away again, for a similar style wedding to our own! Sarah & Nick had looked far and wide for a suitable wedding venue, but were frustrated by the lack of freedom at lots of venues, cue Nick’s mum and dad :) So it was decided to have a farm marquee wedding reception at Nick’s parents small holding in Great Harwood, with fab views over the Lancashire hills, towards Ramsbottom and Haslingden.
Home made bunting and a definite wine theme to this wedding
Sarah had performed wonders with yards and yards of bunting lovingly made. Also a very impressive array of cork’s too, collected from all their wine and champagne guzzling guests over the past year!!! The marquee looked fab, very country shabby chic style, with a French twist from wine label table names.
Haworth Art Gallery wedding ceremony
Sarah arrived in style at Haworth Art Gallery, Accrington in a Humber Mk II Super Snipe, very nice indeed :) The art gallery was packed with all their guests in the pillared music room, complete with pianist. The terrace in front of the art gallery provided the perfect space for post ceremony drinks, canapes, congratulations and mingling. We had a few minutes with Sarah and Nick, although we could have spent much longer, in the park surrounding the gallery before it was back to the farm.
An English country garden wedding reception
Pimms on the lawn, children playing quoits and a surprise ‘love-swing’ from Nick’s dad, all very English country wedding :)
Later in the evening, wedding wellies on, a stroll around the fields and the long summery grass for a relaxed portrait shoot of the relaxed new Mr & Mrs. A very well practised and orchestrated first dance, to the very highly recommended band, followed by a quick sunset shot as the sun went down over the rolling hills behind. An excellent chilled out and personal farm marquee wedding – congrats to Sarah & Nick :)
For a Peak District Farm wedding take a peek at Jen & Sam’s August wedding, or a farm close to Manchester how about this UK-US partnership. Fancy an outdoor ceremony then take a look at Emma & Chris’s outdoor ceremony Derbyshire wedding or on the Welsh borders for papa kata style tipis and an outdoor humanist ceremony at Sychpwll Eco Centre.
