A trip to sunny Suffolk for some Easton Grange Wedding Photography!
So having met Ally and Chris back in September when they followed us on a very much cross-country epic eshoot, we knew that this wedding would be a great day to capture. So a little out of our usual neck of the woods we’d ventured down the night before and stayed in a gorgeous cute Airbnb close by (we do love an Airbnb!) We took this opportunity to scout out all the surroundings and were all ready for some Easton Grange wedding photography, in fact our first Suffolk wedding too!
Champagne & cufflinks
So the morning began with a little bit of a chill in the air but this was only just April, so to be expected. The girls were already in full swing with hair and make-up for five bridesmaids, two mums and not forgetting the bride, that’s a lot of preening to be done! Ally was adorned with her Marvel superheroes dressing gown, matching perfectly the make-up and blonde curls. The day was to have a superhero/Disney theme as both these two were into make believe big time, well I think more Chris TBH! Champagne showers all round as one of the bridesmaids opened a rather excitable bottle of champagne – great photos though!! ;) Chris and his crew arrived all suited and booted, looking pretty much like they were going to a wedding – well apart from the addition of Chris’s superman socks, complete with capes! To add to the superhero theme all the boys received specially chosen cufflinks as their most likely superhero character, with Chris as Superman of course – I think he may be a little obsessed!
Spring Suffolk wedding sunshine
Chris and the boys entered the ceremony room to …..you’ve guessed it the Superman theme tune! The rest of the ceremony continued superhero-free and Ally & Chris were now Mr & Mrs and entered their reception drinks through a shower of confetti and photos into the sun drenched patio. Congratulations, yummy canapes and fizz flowed in the Suffolk countryside alongside those quintessential spring bright yellow daffodils, bobbing their heads in the distance.
Easton Grange
What a fantastic space, as well as the very modern barns and private secluded patio courtyard, there are acres and acres of countryside surrounding this Suffolk wedding venue, great for photography. So with Ally & Chris we wandered towards a nearby field, to make the most of some Spring blossom which was just making it’s first appearances. There’s so much to take in here, but as it’s a wedding (and not like the hours we had on their epic eshoot) we just had thirty mins to snap away and capture the essence of these two newly weds in the gorgeous grounds of Easton Grange.
Confetti canons & street food buffet (yum!)
With the best man a bag of nerves about his speech, speeches were before the meal so everyone could enjoy the delicious food. As the room was turned around for the evening the rain began to fall and the temperature had dropped quite a bit, still it was just early April. The guests were entertained by Nick a great Magician and friend of Chris’s dad. The children were very impressed with their sword balloons, whilst Chris was bedazzled by awesome card tricks. The evening turned to night, the band was ready and first dance set the mood for a great wedding party to begin. Lots more evening guests filling the venue and enjoying the evening street food buffet, whilst we snook out for one last finale image.
We really enjoyed our day as Easton Grange wedding photographers, :) Congrats Ally & Chris!!! We even sneaked in a mini holiday the day after sat in the Suffolk sun enjoying a picnic on the beach at Aldeburgh, before heading back up the A1 to Manchester – all good stuff eh :)
