An intimate GJS wedding or Great John Street Hotel if you prefer its’ Sunday name!
Our first of three visits in 2016 for GJS wedding photography, not far from home in Manchester city centre. Today we were with Amanda and Gary who were very clear on their intimate wedding and only had those closest to them to join then on their special day.
Early morning wedding nerves
The day started a little nervously with Amanda and her girls, preparing for the day in one of the gorgeous rooms at GJS. Amanda had everything planned to the final detail. Simplicity in classic whites was the order of the day, with the bridesmaids adding a dash of richness in their deep blue dresses. Whilst Gary arrived with his brother and nephew, in time for a quick beer in the bar before getting suited and booted.

The ceremony room for this GJS wedding looked perfect, adorned with simple white flowers and storm lantern candles. Ellie was the most perfect flower girl, she read their reading in a very accomplished manner indeed, as well as being great support for Amanda walking nervously down the aisle, :) Well done Ellie!
With a ‘Bubbles & Beer’ station the drinks flowed and everyone enjoyed the roof top terrace, on this spring Manchester wedding day. We took a short walk into the park and made the most of the carpet of daffodils for a few photos.
Party moves and yummy cakes
With a late ceremony the wedding breakfast soon spread into the night and it was time to hit the dance floor. Guests were eager to dance off their wedding breakfast food, so there was space to fit in more of the yummy looking afternoon tea style cakes :)
