The Ashes Wedding Venue – summer wedding photography on the Staffordshire Derbyshire borders

As we arrived we caught up with Tom of Silk wedding films, (whilst he was filming ducks on the lake) our yearly crossing of paths it would seem, lets hope it gets more frequent, always great to work with!

Girls in the bridal cottage

Lisa, her three bridesmaids, two mums and one flowergirl were all getting ready in the cottage at The Ashes wedding venue, so the usual wedding chaos reigned! It’s great when everything is all in one venue, so we can flit in and out capturing all the days activities as they happen, especially as there’s two of us ;)

Succulents – wasp free button holes!

Duncan and his crew arrived in plenty of time, leaving his ushers to commandeer all their guests and make sure they got on the coaches at Crewe Hall where everyone was staying. The flowers and button holes were rustic with a little twist being the addition of some succulents, which made for great button holes, very manly! And good for Lisa too, who hated insects and especially wasps :)

Lots of party spirit was gonna keep this wedding celebration going all night!

The day all went to plan, The Ashes wedding venue is a finely honed machine and definitely know how to put a gorgeous wedding together – Lisa, Duncan and their friends just added the magic, volume and a definite party spirit, with group singing to the background music during the wedding breakfast even! Into the evening their early wedding breakfast meant we had time to make the most of the golden skies as the sun set behind the Ashes :) Perfect! As we left the partying was in full swing and the cake of cheese in full smell too!
