Our first Hilltop Country House Wedding, here’s hoping for lots more days like this!

We were really looking forward to photographing Hayley and Danny’s Hilltop Country House Wedding, it’s really a gorgeous venue with an outdoor ceremony space making the most of it’s amazing lush gardens. Hayley and the girls got ready at their home in Stalybridge, a stones throw from Pixie HQ, has to be our closest bridal prep yet! Despite there being so many bodies in the house everyone was very calm but excited about the day ahead, especially Nicole their flower girl who was positively brimming with excitement! Hayley’s dad was a little emotional, followed by Hayley then no-one could hold back the tears, great for photography!

Hilltop Country House Wedding Day

Hayley’s gorgeous floaty dress and wild flower bouquet definitely set the tone for what was a relaxed rustic feel wedding :) On arriving at Hilltop Country House the boys were a little less calm, as they’d lost the rings! A few phone calls later disaster was averted, they were found and arrived with one of their guests – close call that Danny! Every wedding has to have one little stress!

With their hearts set on an outdoor wedding ceremony Hayley and Danny were in luck as it was a perfect spring day – definitely a day for a Hilltop Country House wedding. Long days meant there was loads of time to enjoy the wedding and those delicious mini pies that Danny’s mum had made – best canapes ever! The garden games came out, Jenga toppled, £1 bets on croquet winners, Pimms flowing how much more English country wedding could it get!

Inside the marquee the rustic theme continued, with wild flower table centres, vintage cup and saucers and a new one for us with – message in a bottle guest messages for each wedding anniversary from each different table. In the evening we took a wander around the gardens, Hilltop Country House does really make wedding photography a dream job, wooded glades, big landscapes, green everywhere and a gorgeous carefree bride and groom too, what more could we ask for!
