Rochdale wedding with red roses of Lancashire for the bride and white roses of Yorkshire for the groom at Norton Grange Hotel.

 

Bernie and Daniel’s Rochdale wedding seems to have been on the Pixie books for ages and now it had finally arrived :) We started the day at Bernie’s parents house which was adorned with mum’s handmade bunting and was easily recognisable as we drove down the street! Inside the dining room was packed with bridesmaids in very pink dressing gowns, a very smiley Bernie, hairdresser and make-up artist. Sammy the make-up artist was an old friend form Bernie’s school days who she just happened to meet up with again, after years of not seeing each other, just a few months before her wedding – perfect timing to meet a make-up artist friend! Everything ran to perfect time, in fact the girls were all ready early, this doesn’t happen too often!

A few minutes down the road and the boys had arrived at the church, the ushers took their jobs seriously doing a very commendable job of seeing the guests to their seats with order of service in hand! The bridemaids had arrived before most of the guests so were hiding in the toilets and got to know each other well in those fifteen minutes in close proximity! A shorter than normal Catholic service and that was that Mr & Mrs, now time for the party!

It’s great at this time of year, late May, as there’s soooooo much daylight, so no rush to get anything done, so everyone had a very laid back time enjoying the champagne and sunshine on the patio at Norton Grange Hotel :) During the speeches it transpired that Daniel was an ardent Yorkshire man, so quite a feat for him to have his wedding in Lancashire and this explained the colour theme of red and white roses! As the light got softer into the evening we took advantage and had a wander around the grounds for a few shots of just the two of them. Then it was time to hit the dance floor and devour some roast beef butties!
