Sarah & Jon – Rainbow Multicolours galore at All Saints, Youlgreave and Hargate Hall Peak District Wedding.
Yeah! We do love photographing a Hargate Hall wedding, we’ve regularly been there year after year and seen it grow. The layers of paint have gradually been added to what is a fantastic rustic quirky DIY wedding venue, with loads of space for guests to stay too :)
As always with Hargate Hall, most of the guests were already there, as you get the place as your own for the whole weekend. Either a chilled out Friday evening with friends, or in Sarah and Jon’s case a marquee decorating party! But the marquee looked absolutely out of this world, so well worth all the effort, Sarah had made four stunning origami multi-coloured chandeliers, magnificent :)
The boys got ready in the Castleton apartment, (normally this is reserved by the girls) whilst the girls were around the corner in the Tissington apartment. Then it was a short drive through the gorgeous Peak District to the very quintessentially English church in the village of Youlgreave, with the obligatory pub next to the church for guests to grab a quick one before the ceremony began. The multicoloured theme was present throughout with great rainbow coloured bridesmaids with different coloured bouquets to match.
Back at Hargate Hall, through the bride and groom scarecrows on the gate posts, for Pimms and afternoon tea on the lawn. Time for some Pixie action! Group shots tick, then a meander around the rambling grounds, nearby barns and back lanes of Hargate Hall. Special request number one was a heart shaped group shot, so with a bit of choreography we sort of managed something resembling a heart shape?!
For the wedding breakfast Sarah and Jon had gone BBQ style, which worked really well with the summery June weather. Just before the ceilidh kicked off, we’d had a special request number two, for a barley field shot. Hmmm, it seemed that it was harvest time for many of the surrounding fields… but no fear we found one, albeit a little longer than normal!
Another momentous and memorable wedding at Hargate Hall, we’ve never been disappointed with the weddings here. A DIY venue really does work when you want your wedding your way, the more personalisation the better and it lasts the whole weekend too :)
