An autumnal engagement shoot around New Mills, Derbyshire.
Joanna & Tim’s wedding will take place just before Christmas this year at The Villa, Wrea Green. More of this to come in the new year :) So just time for this autumnal engagement shoot close to their home in New Mills.
Childhood neighbours meet in the big smoke :)
Joanna & Tim first met in a pub in Stockport whilst Joanna was living in London, turned out they actually lived on the same street when they were younger but never knew! I guess it all worked out in the end and they bumped into eachother at the right time.
A Derbyshire mill town for an autumnal engagement shoot
Our photo shoot took place at the Millennium Bridge in New Mills which was also one of the first places Joanna & Tim went walking together, they’re both passionate about the great outdoors, which (apart from walking) encompasses rock climbing, quite apt as there’s some nice sheer cliff faces here. This location was great for photography with a good mix of lush green (not quite turned fully autumnal yet), grand old stone viaducts, industrial decay and modern steel architecture in the magnificent Millenium walkway.
Warm coats and an active dog to keep of the chill!
We all (including Lucie, their cute four legged friend) had a great time on a rather chilly and distinctly autumnal day with lots of memorable moments and photos to match, with lots more time to try things out and no worrying about dirty wedding dresses :)
Joanna said she was really glad about this shoot as it put her mind completely at ease for her wedding day photos, we’re really looking forward to catching up with these guys again for their Wrea Green wedding in December.
