Sarah and Dan’s Peak District wedding day very much reflected their laid back personalities, which is how it should be :) They did things their way and just had the parts of a wedding which they wanted.

Personal ceremony

The ceremony went as usual, with the omission of rings – as these two were keen climbers so rings would just get in the way of enjoying themselves every weekend (or when they could now they had two small children I guess the climbing had to take a back seat for now!) But then a secret to most of the guests and ourselves was Dan’s song to Sarah, tambourine in hand and ably accompanied by some trusty friends on guitar and fiddle – very poignant and personal touch.

Fizz, friends, family, fun

That just about sums up the afternoon and the whole day in four F’s :) With none of the formalities of group photos these guys had plenty of time to chat the time away with those nearest and dearest. Guests happy with drink and canapés we snook off for a short while for some shots of these two whilst not surrounded by other people – then back to the fizz and time for some nosh in the marquee.

Boogie nights and rainy moody Peak District wedding moments

Rock and roll was order of the evening, although a little delayed as everyone was still digesting the yummy cakes from their huge dessert table. Hargate Hall has a great party atmosphere and the moody dark hall is great that party vibe. Sarah was keen to encapsulate a feel of the landscapes of the Peak District in their images, so in the interval of the bands set she donned her walking boots again (I think really Sarah would have preferred to wear these all day!) Our timing wasn’t quite perfect, with a huge dark cloud rolling over the hills, no chance of a sunset today and some of that wet stuff that makes everywhere so green which decided it was time to fall. No worries these two were made of hardy stuff and well I guess the gloom contrasted to their summery pics earlier too, best of both worlds ;) And good to get the rain out of the way before their walk with all their friends planned for Sunday

Huge congrats to Sarah & Dan on an amazing Peak District wedding weekend
