The Love Shack intimate wedding venue
We’d actually been to the lodges some years ago for a mid-winters bridal prep, where Pete had made the most of the magical woodlands for that ethereal winter feel. Wendy and Dominic (the owners of the Love Shack) had remembered our photos from back then and I guess they kinda liked them as we’re now their go to photographers for this epic hideaway wedding space in the heart of Cheshire. So, I think, with this being just their third wedding (thanks to Covid-19 etc etc) we were eager to shoot Julie and Pete’s intimate wedding day.
Close family wedding
A secret wedding day…we were honoured to one of the few people that knew about this special day. Just the very immediate family in on the wedding secret, all to be revealed to their friends at a ‘big’ birthday garden party a few days later. For our micro wedding package, just two hours of photography covers the very essentials, so we started the day just as everyone was ready to walk up the woodland aisle. A very wet month of May had meant the garden and woods were looking super lush and even the bluebells were still out – absolutely magical.

It’d be rude not to make the most of the sumptuous surroundings, rustic details and spring green everywhere. So after a mini drinks reception back at the lodge it was time for a walk around the grounds. We’ll let the pics do the talking.

Well as you can tell we love this place, even just after one visit! If you’re thinking of an intimate wedding but want something a little (a lot) sexier than the registry office then whisk yourselves away to this place – seriously you won’t regret it. You even get the very lovely Cheshire registrars, some of the nicest registrars we’ve met :)
Whilst we love a big day, we really love a tiny celebration too – it has a different kind of magic and intimate feel that certainly pulls on the heart strings.
