A Hargate Hall Vintage Wedding, Buxton, Derbyshire, with 1950’s styled bridesmaids.
It was a misty morning as we drove to one of our fave wedding venues – Hargate Hall in the Peak District. Time for a Hargate Hall vintage wedding, precisely three years after our first wedding photography shoot there!
Hargate Hall – a wedding venue for friends to gather from all over the country
Cath and John chose Hargate Hall as their wedding venue and base for the weekend, with guests from Kent and Scotland it seemed the perfect location for friends and family to meet and enjoy a weekend-long celebration. As we arrived the main hall was already decked with bunting, paper chains and old photographs in the 50’s theme. Bridal preparations were well underway whilst the groom and groomsmen had to call upon a Scottish friend to help with the application of their kilts :)
I do’s and photos
A perfect ceremony, led onto drinks outside the hall in glorious weather. Plenty of time for many congratulations and a shot of the multicoloured twirling bridesmaids in their 50’s attire! Taking advantage of the great weather and the fabulous surroundings we captured some great rustic shots of Cath and John around Hargate Hall. A quick two minute drive away for a Peak District panoramic shot too :) Would be rude not too with such fantastic countryside on your doorstep!
Hargate Hall vintage wedding styling
The marquee was decorated jam-jar style, with minimalistic flowers, old photos, a pub quiz and more bunting, most importantly was the hog roast! Just enough time for our newly wed’s to grab a quick whirl on the bouncy castle before the festivities began :)
