60 Hope Street wedding photography then on to The Old Blind School, Liverpool.
Jen & Graham wanted a big party, and to get married too, but that was kinda secondary! The whole day was set to revolve around the über cool Hope Street area of Liverpool where cathedrals and culture meet trendy urban bars and boutique hotels. This was to be our first experience of Hope Street wedding photography and promised to be something pretty special…..it didn’t disappoint :)
Early morning wedding surprises
The day was to begin for Graham with a few surprises, nice ones that is! Best man Phil had his instructions, followed to perfection so the presents came in order. It’s fair to say that Graham was impressed with his new timepiece, a coveted watch that he’d eyed up for some time :) All the boys ogled the Patek Phillipe watch for some time, before the next surprise of a classic Bentley arrived on the drive to whisk the boys off to Hope Street for the day to begin. Jen and the girls were already on Hope St, preparing for their day at the gorgeous Hope Street Hotel. Jen had all her bridesmaids surrounding her as well as the hair, make-up and dress designer all being friends too.
60 Hope Street wedding ceremony
Well they packed them in! I think this had to be a record for the number of guests at a 60 Hope St wedding ceremony, the room was chock-a, but this is how they wanted it filled with friends and family ready to party and celebrate their day. After the vows were spoken and not to forget Jen’s amazing designer dress revealed to all then it was down stairs to the basement bar for the real fun to begin. Fizz and cool vibes filled the room with a cool acoustic duo giving the perfect feel to a laid back afternoon.
The Old Blind School – a Liverpool wedding party
Jen & Graham had landed on their feet with The Old Blind School as their first choice venue had fallen through. The upstairs function rooms at this place are simply stunning! Then the staircase to get up there is to die for! We could have spent hours shooting photos on the staircase alone! But now was the time for drink, banter and dancing, although we grabbed Jen & Graham for five mins, it’d be rude not to! This place is full of character and then add rooms full of family and friends – the party feel was definitely achieved :) Func on the Rocks were one of the best wedding bands we’ve seen and kept the dance floor full of happy revellers! For the evening Jen’s combo wedding attire had a trouser option too, so time to mix it up a little :)
We had an amazing time at this our first Liverpool city centre wedding – if they’re all like this then we can’t wait to get back! Congrats guys on an epic wedding/party day :)
