Our most laid back bride ever for this Eaves Hall autumn wedding
We’d met up again with Lauren and Ian a few weeks before their big day. They were back in Yorkshire after a year or so living out in Canada but the pull of family and friends and brought them home. Having chatted over their plans for the day we knew that it would be a great day as they were both such lovely and genuine people. Lauren did say she was quite laid back but as a few little things didn’t go quite to plan on the day, she definitely showed her laid back side taking everything in her stride and enjoying the day. Just as it should be :)
Prep and a small fire!
So whilst the girls had made their way from the lodge to the bridal suite, the boys were readying themselves with a whisky to calm the nerves. It was a typical Lancashire autumnal day. Almost sat in the low clouds but with an air of optimism that the grey would lift. Ian, with nerves calmed by the swift drink, then had his senses heightened again. The registrar had chosen to place his paper on top of a lit candle, so Ian entered the room to a flame or two! With a background in the emergency services though this wasn’t going to flap Ian too much!
Outdoor autumn drinks reception
As the vows were said the clouds had lifted and the temperature was very warm for late October. Everyone made the most of it, enjoying their drinks and canapes outside. It was just perfect to take in all the amazing autumnal colours from the array of trees in Eaves Hall’s gardens. With an early ceremony we had loads of time and took a leisurely stroll with the newly weds and Josie & Ian from Big Bear wedding films, through the many colours the gardens had to offer. It did drizzle a little but Lauren in her laid back way just enjoyed the time with Ian.
Food, fun, sparkle and boogie
Lauren and Ian had used old photo of thier guests as table favours, which certainly broke the ice with everyone chuckling and reminising. With wedding speeches out of the way before the mains came along then everyone could enjoy the stunning food that Eaves Hall had on offer. Taking advantage of the darker nights that autumn brings sparklers were order of the day. They certainly got the party started and it made for a fantastic atmosphere, everyone loves a sparkler don’t they?! And certainly everyone loved a dance, with the exception of Lauren and Ian who made sure everyone joined them asap. The rest of their guests definitely got the dance floor jumping (quite literally with the sprung floor!)
Huge congrats to our most chilled out couple of 2016!

Eaves Hall wedding venue
Having shot numerous times at Eaves Hall for alsorts of different weddings we can truly vouch for this place being one the best classic styled venues in Lancashire. From the super friendly helpful staff, the amazing views from their stunning gardens, huge rooms with loads of character and a sense of exclusivity tucked away up away from it all.
Starting your wedding day either in the bijou lodge house or up in the huge suites of the main hall you and your entourage will have all the space you need for a chilled out morning prepping for the excitement of the day ahead. Time for the I do’s. With multiple options for your ceremony both indoors and now with the gorgeous new outdoor ceremony pavilion option then really whatever the weather you’ll have a Lancashire wedding ceremony to remember.
So Lancashire weather can be on the wet side of things, it’s not so green for nothing! But Eaves Hall has you covered no matter what the weather, with multiple room inside for your guests to sprawl and mingle. Then again we’ve even been there in the sunshine too! Bowls on the lawn, sipping champagne taking in the terraced gardens or full on sports day garden games – your wedding you choose!
Into the evening again so many options for a first dance, depending on the size of your wedding. A cosy night club disco vibe in the ballroom, we’ve ceilidh-ed in the dining room or a very classy first dance in the dark moody hallway. Again if you love the outdoors there’s nothing stopping you strutting your stuff on the lawns, maybe the hardcore head banging music needs to be behind closed doors though ;)
Eaves Hall for your wedding photography ticks all the boxes too, so you just enjoy your day and let us take care of documenting all those moments within the perfect backdrop of Eaves Hall. See you there :)
