Beeston Manor Wedding photography
The day began early at Gemma’s parents house full of people, sandwiches and childhood memories :) With the girls finishing off their preening, the boys were enjoying an early pint at The Yew Tree, with Andrew looking just a little nervous.
The ceremony for the day was to be at St Leonards’ church in Walton-le-Dale, a gorgeous church close to Gemma house, with a personal service including a poem read by a close friend. Again another church where no photography was allowed at the front of the church, always worth checking this before you book your church for a wedding. Outside congrats flowed as did explosive confetti canons before we all set off just a few minutes down the road to Beeston Manor
Beeston Manor wedding reception
Our first visit to this venue, which is a stunning converted barn complex alongside a mini airstrip too for a very exotic arrival if you fancy! The weather just about held out for drinks and tunes on the lawn with the acoustic musical maestro Michael Mullholland, who we’d also met a couple of weeks before in Yorkshire.
Pixie style ‘Bride & Groom’ time
A short wander in the surrounding fields of Beeston Manor, with long grass, decaying machinery, rough textures abound we loved our mini-shoot around the venue – and hopefully Gemma & Andrew enjoyed their time together too, as their only moments alone as newly weds :)
Sparkling end to a great wedding day
September heralds the beginning of darker nights, which Gemma & Andrew took advantage off with oodles of sparklers just before the evening buffet came out. Time for us to head back home to Manchester and let the party to continue into the night or even ’til breakfast with lots of guests staying at Beeston Manor over night to sample their breakfast wares in the morning.
Congrats to Gemma & Andrew, hopefully they don’t get too close to too many lions on their honeymoon safari!
