A countryside engagement shoot with great views, huge trees and a very cute daughter too :)
We had a great time with Carolynne & Gary for their countryside engagement shoot around Dovestones reservoir earlier this week. It’s a location where me and Sara spend a fair bit of time. Just walking and exploring, it has a look and feel of somewhere far away in the Canadian wilderness and yet just 12 miles from the middle of Manchester city centre!
Starting off with a few family shots
Carolynne and Gary brought along there ever-so-cute daughter for the first hour who was simply brilliant, before being picked up by Auntie Deborah (who’s wedding we shot at the Saddleworth Hotel last year). Carolynne and Gary were great and it was just like going for a fun walk in some great countryside, with the odd stop off now and then to snap away at some real moments in time. Carolynne was up for anything and it was no problem to climb walls, tress rocks, jump over ditches, you name it they did it! It was great venue for these guys as Gary is a keen bird spotter and Dove stone’s is one of the RSPB’s locations.
Wedding bells on the horizon
So just a few weeks after their countryside engagement shoot Carolynne & Gary will be tying the knot at St Bartholomew’s church. Then at Crow Hill Cottages in Marsden for their wedding reception. Where I’m sure we’ll capture some stunning wedding photography with it’s gorgeous grounds and rugged surrounding Yorkshire landscape… Can’t wait :)
