A cool December day for a winter wedding at Peover Golf Club.

Who needs light?!

Jen and Ash got married in early December, with their ceremony at 4.00pm, sunset was at 3.52pm – bit of a photographic challenge! Jen got ready at Moss Wood Cottage, in The Stables a really excellent bridal prep location for the Peover area…gorgeous outside and in. There was still a bit of light, so an opportunity for a few bridal portraits before the light faded was in order!

An Indian twist

Ash arrived at the golf club in traditional Indian dress, not necessarily the warmest for an English December! A few hiccups with sound, then bits and pieces to sort out, we had five mins to catch a few shots of Ash with the boys whilst the sun still hung-on in there!

Candles and sparklers – great for a winter wedding

The golf club oak barn room looked great with candles lining the aisle, and with hot chocolates to congratulate the couple to keep everyone warm, a must for a winter wedding! We tried to catch the last glimmer of blue light for a few shots of the bride and groom. We then moved on to group shots in the dark, good job we’d a car full of extra lights :)

Jen had bought squillions of sparklers for all the guests, a good winter alternative to the confetti type shot, often seen in a lot of photography from the USA. After the wedding breakfast we all ventured bravely in to the dark cold outdoors for some quirky bride and groom photos using the lake as a great reflection of the golf club and a few more sparklers.

We left Jen and Ash dancing the night away, not too late though as they were off for wedding part two in India the next day!
