A Black Tie wedding celebrating both a grand wedding and the bringing in of a new year.
Daniella and Scott married at The Saddleworth Hotel. A gorgeous Manchester wedding venue which is owned by Scott’s father… There’s nothing like a bit of extra pressure whilst photographing a wedding!
The dress code was Black Tie, which together with the stunning architecture of the incredibly chic ballroom transpired into something reminiscent of a James Bond set.
Daniella was ‘very’ fashionably late (35 minutes in fact… blame the step-father!) All was forgiven as she made her entrance in her Manuel Mota Ventura wedding dress, from Pronovias… looking every part a Bond Girl. This was the first time we’d shot a wedding ceremony in this majestic space, it can leave you breathless with it’s shear elegance and regal prowess.
The best man though, was determined to bring the whole opulent facade back down to earth… Having made their first kiss he jumps out and securely attaches a genuine ball and chain to the groom… went down brilliantly!
Winter wedding bridal portraits can be challenging as there’s very little light, given this together with the high profile status of the event we needed to pull a ‘wow’ factor out of the bag. I do believe we managed rather well, producing our very own pyrotechnical bride and groom portrait.
The whole day was stunning from start to finish, culminating in a spectacular New Year’s Eve aerial display which consisted of 2.5 tonnes of fireworks!
Congratulations Daniella & Scott :)
