Manchester Boho brides

Meg & Becs got in touch just a few months before their wedding day, we love a bit of spontaneity and Manchester city centre is always a favourite location. They were tying the knot along with a handful of friends joining them for a bit of grub. Sounded perfect, super relaxed chilled out vibe with a couple of Manchester lassies :)

Manchester registry office wedding ceremony.

The ‘I do’s’ were to be said just opposite the town hall in the Lloyd Street registry office. The girls arrived complete with their absolutely amazing boho bride look, a fantastic contrast to the city location. Hugs and beaming smiles greeted everyone as they all met together before the wedded words were said and papers signed. Love the funky coloured wallpaper in the waiting room, of the registry office (that’s about as gushing as we can get over the Pankhurst Suite! Absolutely lovely staff though and a great springboard to the rest of Manchester!) A few tears, plenty more smiles and a maraca exit – hey presto Mrs & Mrs :)

Group photos – yes we do these too ;)

So before heading off for a few drinks and some nosh, time to document who’s who with a few group pics. Manchester was the main brief for the day (apart from the obvious wedding part!) and what better back drop than the town hall. Manchester International Festival had taken over Albert Square but still three more sides to the town hall to play with :) So away from the hubbub of MIF – we grabbed some fab pics of these guys and their friends, filled with life and lots of laughter, thanks to the attempted shoulder ride group photo from a few friends! Add to this a congrats from the windows of GMP, the official seal of approval for these two!

A walk through Manchester

Manchester’s famous Canal Street was the location for the rest of the days celebrations, which meant a walk across town. We love a walkabout with city centre weddings, you can take in so many different locations whilst walking along the street with all your family and friends. You all just walk and we run/walk/cross roads/jump in shops and snap away to find all the best angles – brain on overdrive but a fab photo challenge! Today, as it happened Becs went one way and Meg another, but not to worry with two of us we just followed half the entourage each :)

Northern Quarter city centre wedding pics

A little more of the Manchester vibe, Northern Quarter definitely ticks the box for that urban city feel, without having to negotiate the crowds – although here was a pesky DHL van to avoid! Dark alleyways, graffiti walls, bemused construction workers, gorgeous textures and buckets of life from these two newly weds we couldn’t have wished for more! A short walk back to No.1 Canal Street and time to leave everyone to enjoy the rest of the day together.

So in a little over two hours we crammed in so many amazing moments, a wedding ceremony, group photos, an urban walk about, speedy drinks reception, couple pics and even the wedding cake! A crazy jam packed few hours made sooooo enjoyable by these two super happy boho brides. Huge congrats to Meg & Becs x
