Nicole & Chris wanted a wedding with a woodland theme but not in the woods…so what better place to start than a hotel called The Woodlands! From Liverpool to Leeds pretty much everyone had shot down the M62 for a day of celebrations. A shorter drive for us over the hills from Manchester to sunny Leeds for a Yorkshire autumnal wedding day.
Presents, words, tears, smiles and confetti
So that sums it up really! Chris finally got his pocket watch which he’d been pining after for some time, which looked quite the part with his tweed attire and fab purple tweed tie. Nicole was in tears as she opened Chris’ wedding day presents, emotions running high – time to do the deed and seal the deal. Amongst family and friends they were now Mr & Mrs – exiting through a storm of confetti time to enjoy the party.
Nests, moss, woodland creatures amidst old books
A wander in the woods and gardens of The Woodlands, Nicole just about stayed warm enough in the October’s slightly chilly temperatures. The room was all set to Nicole’s (slightly self admitted) OCD precision, with moss, woodland creatures, books galore and did we mention more moss! So time to warm up and little and enjoy the yummy food and fizz.
Marquee wedding party
With lots more friends joining these guys for the evening – it was time for the party to get started, after of course the cake (you guessed it woodland themed!) was cut. Dancing, chilling out with friends, photobooth antics and general merriment ensued – a perfect end to the day :)
Huge congrats to Nicole & Chris on a moss filled wedding extravaganza!
