Our first Knowsley Hall Wedding Photography adventure, hopefully they’ll be more to come as this is such a fantastic venue
-whatever the weather there’s masses of space both inside and out and when we say space that’s kind of underselling the splendour of it all!
With an unseasonally warm March Knowsley Hall wedding day Amanda and Darren were very lucky with the weather, although Amanda was secretly a little bit disappointed that she wouldn’t get any rainy umbrella shots. With everything happening at one place we milled around in between the huge and impressive bridal suite, the hall, grounds and guests arriving too. All was very calm in bridal prep with everyone ready in plenty of time, which is great as then you get to relax and take the day in so much more. Amanda’s dress had been handmade, very princess bride, with special ribbons including their wedding date and names embroidered into the ornate bustle on the back – for those in love with the dress it was a Terry Fox Madame Pompadour couture design.
Knowsley Hall wedding photography
This Knowsley Hall wedding ceremony took place in the Stucco Ballroom, with it’s ornate ceilings and bathed in light through the Georgian windows. Hugo the tiny page boy started proceedings off, looking very cute and dapper in his wedding suit – almost upstaging Darren, but not quite ;) You could see from everyones faces how much Amanda’s dress was appreciated, well by the girls anyway! The wedding team at Knowsley Hall, run a slick operation so after the ceremony it was straight out, into the sun, for congratulations and a big group shot of everyone looking stately on the grand entrance.
A stately wedding day :)
Making the most of the weather, we wandered around the grounds capturing Amanda and Darren, just being themselves with a stately home garden as their prop! Back inside Amanda and Darren joined their guests enjoying canapes, along with mini scones (made by Amanda) and the famous Mars bar cake which one of her friends had made. A couple of very quick shots in the very opulent Walnut room, quite the Lord and Lady followed by their grand entrance in to the dining room.
A scientific wedding theme
Our first periodic table wedding table plan too, what could be more apt for the joining of two scientists :) Huge congratulations to Amanda and Darren on a stunning Knowsley Hall Wedding to remember!
