A stunning summer’s day outdoor wedding ceremony at Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire

Peter and Sofia’s Capesthorne Hall Wedding, just squeezed in at the end of the year. Living in Hong Kong made it quite tricky to meet up, but we managed two meetings in two days, just a month before their big day!!! Nice to get to know people before their actual wedding day :)

What a venue they had chosen, Capesthorne Hall is quite magnificent set in it’s own rolling Cheshire countryside, complete with grand driveway and swan adorned lake – how English! At Capesthorne we met up with Tom and Tom from Silk Wedding Films and we all were busy getting some mood shots before Peter and Sofia arrived at the hall. Photography at venues like this is an absolute dream!

An outdoor wedding ceremony

The outdoor ceremony was just perfect with weather that you could have only dreamed of for an English Sunday in September, whilst Peter and Sofia did the official signing in the hall the guests were able to enjoy the quintessentially English country home views over the lake. Back at the hall reception drinks flowed and guests enjoyed perusing some of the images from their Hong Kong ceremony and some great quirky studio shots from Hong Kong too, Sofia was certainly getting good use of her wedding dress! We could have wandered around the grounds of Capesthorne Hall for days, the setting was perfect, the light was sublime and a great fun bride and groom to photograph too!

Into the evening the party moved to the more modern part of the building, with its integrated marquee for dancing the night away, without breaking all the antiques! Just time for a quick starry night finale photo before we left Capesthorne Hall. Hopefully we’ll be back for more sumptuous Cheshire wedding photography at Capesthorne Hall in the future :)

Yeah we’ve been again in 2016 for this crazy Anglo-Egyptian wedding extravaganza – loved it again :)
