A gold and orange autumn themed Cheshire wedding by Mottram Hall wedding photographer – Pixies in the Cellar.

When we met up with Ally a few weeks before her wedding the bouquet was already made… an advantage of having a brooch and jewelled bouquet, it never dies! The bouquet was one of many of the autumn themed elements which Ally had made for her wedding, orange was definitely the colour of the day!

This was our second visit as a Mottram Hall wedding photographer this year, but our first time at Mottram Hall for the whole day as all our other weddings here had been church ceremonies – so it was nice to see the room set up for a ceremony too – with the lighting set to a cosy orange hue. As the guests began to arrive, so did the pumpkins, amazing hand carved pumpkins to light up the room later in the day, another great idea from Ally! Both Ally and Simon were getting ready just a few doors apart, Simon definitely the more nervous of the two and a little bit the worse for wear from the night before!

Ally arrived down the aisle in style behind her procession of bridesmaids and bridesmen too, a great idea as who just has ‘girl-friends’? And anyway Simon did have a best woman! Who better to have as your best friend than your big sister :)

Even the sky was in an autumnal mood!

The drinks flowed and the weather was kind for canapes and a few group shots on the lawn, then we headed off into the gardens of Mottram Hall and of course some autumnal trees.  Later in the day we managed to nip out and catch a great sunset, very be-fitting of the orange theme.
