Well, this was a first for the Pixies… a wedding without the wedding! Deborah and Pete flew a select group of family and friends all the way to Mexico to tie the knot, all that was left to do now was have a huge party back home for the remaining two hundred people!

Yes, I was suffering a little culture-shock here… weddings usually have a rhythm and sense of place etc, not this one. I started the day with bride and groom portraits (usually after a ceremony) then moved on to group and family photos, then the party… it just felt rather strange!

No worries, both bride and groom acted as if they were newly wed’s (which they sort-of were) and the whole day was great, with a little less nerves and stress than a ‘normal’ wedding day. Captured some great shots, one of these was inspired (err copied) from a previous wedding (yes, yours Charlotte and Lee), they loved the rustic building image so much they wanted an exact copy… but with them in it :)

Great night ensued once all the evening guests arrived and culminated in one of the most spectacular first dances I’ve seen… Deborah and Pete are no spring chickens (might be in trouble for that!) but they could move so fast… must have been those Mexican beans! ha
