Richard and his groomsmen arrived just after the heavens had opened, the videographers got quite wet setting up… oh well! The groomsmen were all in their spring yellow cravats, with matching details and musical cufflinks and the colourfully attired guests brightened up an otherwise chilly April day.
Melanie arrived a little nervous but looked great in her spring-themed dress adorned with daisy details. We were both consigned to different balconies in the church, so it was a birds eye take on the ceremony – but we did find some great bridal portrait locations hidden from public view, one of which we managed to use later :)
After a few chilly and breezy group shots at Flowery Field Church we were off to Stanneylands, Wilmslow, it was like another season here! the sun was out, children playing on the lawns and it was hot too! Following a few more family photos we headed down to the lake (or should we say ‘Shrek’s Swamp :) and woodland area, time to get some natural shots of the Melanie & Richard.
The yellow theme continued through the wedding breakfast giving the room a bright and vibrant feel. The second theme of the day was music with cufflinks, umbrellas, a harp, a grand piano and the cake all included – Melanie being a keen pianist, though a little nervous for a full-on performance it seemed :)
