An Easter Sefton Park Palm House Wedding, Liverpool – 2013.
*For a more recent wedding at the Palm House in Liverpool, head over to this super colourful day in 2019
Easter Saturday, fortunately a warm and dry day following the week of those freezing snow drifts. Kat and David chose a stunning venue… The Palm House at Sefton Park, Liverpool – simply amazing. Fantastic light and loads of greenery, like being outside but under a great big roof (close to all the great cafes on Lark Lane too – good for our pre-wedding reci lunch – yum!)
Bridal prep and an Easter egg hunt for the kids :)
Kat had hired a gorgeous house for the weekend – 36 Menlove Ave, for a few drinks the night before in their zebra suit wonsies and plenty of space to get ready on the big day. Make-up done, dresses on and time for a few pre-ceremony snaps of the girls in the garden, then we were off to meet David at The Palm House. We got there with preparations well underway including an Easter Egg hunt for the children (and grown ups too!) – a few shots of the boys, guests in place and all ready to go, Kat was very eager to get down that aisle!
Guinness or champagne for wedding cheers?!
Following the bright, sun-drenched ceremony guests enjoyed a few drinks (Guinness in wine glasses… class!), thumb printing the wedding tree and adding their own photos to the guest book, we braved the cold to get some shots around the Palm House, the fairy glen is a favourite spot as was the picturesque bridge. An ‘at table carvery’ with guest participation made up the wedding breakfast, followed by some entertaining speeches, especially the impromptu one from David’s favourite auntie over from Ireland :) An impressive sweets table, with all those old favourites, a huge tower of cupcakes and a very smelly ‘cheese’ cake, set the evening off, with all the guests tucking in! A very flamboyant first dance, well done guys and then the rest of the guests took to the dance floor with The Hope St Busking Band providing the music. A great day for this Sefton Park Palm House wedding:)
