A cosy winter wedding at The Plough Inn, Eaton, Cheshire.
When I first met Sue & Chris and they mentioned their wedding date and time I nearly choked on my cup of tea :) Close to the shortest day of the year with a wedding ceremony finishing at 4.30pm… “photographers need light” I (nearly) screamed! no worries, I love a challenge. Sue was more than happy to arrive at The Plough Inn and get ready a little early, this extra snippet of time allowed for some great ‘daylight’ photos before this cosy winter wedding began and Chris arrived.
A country pub with rustic barn, a perfect for a cosy winter wedding
The Plough Inn at Eaton is a very cute country pub/venue with a gorgeous oak beamed ceremony room, rich paintings on the wall, eclectic array of chairs together with a very olde worlde charm. The late afternoon winter sunlight streamed through the windows in the most gorgeous way allowing for some great detail shots :)
Lots of tears!!
Their ceremony had to be the most emotive and tearful yet with Chris unable to hold the emotion back and setting more people off!
A few chilly minutes outside as newly weds before the night set in
Following this eventful ceremony Sue (and Chris) braved the freezing outside temperatures for 20 minutes while we captured some fun shots of the newly wed’s around the venue followed by a few small group ‘studio’ shots in the ceremony room. whilst everyone enjoyed the ambience of a great Cheshire pub, perfect for those winter nights.
Great little wedding at a great little venue :)
For more recent winter weddings here’s what we got up to in Manchesters’ city streets winter 2015 or if you fancy a more countryside approach a Lancashire New Years Eve wedding
