Well, I arrived for some getting ready shots at their home to be met by lots of frantic little bridesmaids and a giggling bride-to-be, the atmosphere was very vibrant with buckets of fun too. It’s great when the bride gets ready at least ten minutes before I need to leave for guests arriving at the venue, Trish came up trumps here and apart from some ‘nice-light’ window portraits, managed to capture a very ‘Northern’ bridal party shot just outside their home… great stuff :)
The wedding took place in the almost secluded church of St Marks in Dukinfield. A gorgeous little place with an even more gorgeous interior. Great ceremony with surprisingly few giggles! two of the bridesmaids also made their debut speeches without too many hiccups. Outside for some formal group shots then onto Dukinfield Park for some great newly wed photos. This park could be the grounds of a stately home, the entrance stone stairs are simply gorgeous, this place is one of my favourite locations with it’s architectural features, mature trees, tree-flanked ‘Victorian’ pathways together with a play park for some ‘fun’ photos if ever the bride and groom are up for it :)
The evening reception was held at Oaklands Hall in Hyde. The sweet trolly for the many ‘little’ people was great, it was amazing watching the kids fill up their bags and taking it all so seriously! the buffet style wedding breakfast was also a great idea which made for a more relaxed and informal evening.
