A Lancashire wedding, with a traditional church ceremony in Bolton, followed by an atmospheric fun filled reception at Stanley House Hotel, Blackburn.

We always love new venues and were definitely looking forward to our day with Emma and Phil with their wedding reception at Stanley House, Blackburn. Stanley house is a great mix of modern and old architecture surrounded by fantastic countryside too, what more could we ask for!

Bridal prep!

Emma, complete with wedding wonsie and all the girls were in the swing of things when we arrived, with Kevin from Ramsbottom Wedding Videos not far behind us…paparrazi style in Bolton! As often happens the calm soon turned to chaos as the time just flew by.

English traditional church ceremony

The church was great with it’s gothic architecture, mature trees and winding path, the only ‘interesting challenge’ was being banished to the back by the Vicar :( The video man managed to hide his camera at the front hidden in the pulpit – very sneeky) In spite of this we captured some great images :) This is a good time to mention how important it is to communicate with your vicar/priest about photography and what they allow/don’t allow, unless you bring it up in conversation they may not mention it until the wedding day.

Wedding reception Stanley House, Blackburn

Stanley House is a modern and clean venue with a distinct rustic feel, helped by the proximity of the old building with it’s ornamental garden, which was ideal for family and group pic’s.

Captured some very country-feel images together with some evening signature shots before the evening ensued. Highly recommended venue… and Kevin the videographer… and Danny the totally amazing musician :)
