With groom hailing from Yorkshire and bride from Lancashire, this was a cross border affair with a hint of the war of the roses!
Claire and Ian had compromised though with the church in Lancashire and the reception in ‘historic’ Yorkshire, everyone was happy – a good start for a wedding day ;)
Matching duck-egg blue for everything!
Claire and Ian styled their wedding to perfection, with a cool blue VW camper as their steed for the day, matching bridesmaids (the colour not the camper!) matching ties, favours and details. The cake and in fact all the favours were made by Claire who runs her very own cake making business (take a look at her work below… stunning!)
Wedding reception in Saddleworth countryside
The reception was held at The White Hart at Lydgate set in the wild Saddleworth (Autumnal) landscape. You’d have thought it was mid-summer when we arrived but having just finished their portrait sesh a monsoon started, so… we nipped out again for a couple of sunset/torrential rain photos… like you do! Well worth the effort though :)
The photo above is my resounding memory of Claire and Ian’s wedding day, looking really cute in their matching VW camper!
