A Dovestones Wedding Shoot, a moment in time to reflect, just be married and together – with just the hills for company perfect :)

Claire & Martin didn’t want the pomp and circumstance of a traditional wedding day, they simply wanted to get married :)

Claire searched high and low for a plain wedding dress, eventually finding one which had to be shipped from Italy, can’t go wrong with a bit of Italian styling though! Both bride and groom got ready at their home together, Martin had already seen the dress as they picked it up from the shop together…no traditional trappings there then!

Both bride and groom greeted the guests before walking down the aisle together, complete with string quartet playing in the background, very classy! With a fantastic Master of Ceremonies (Claire’s friend with the loudest voice ever!) all the group photos were organised and finished in super efficient time – thanks Paul a great job! :)

Claire and Martin both really love the great outdoors and decided to have their bride and groom photo sesh at Dovestones, a fifteen minute drive from The Saddleworth Hotel – they both love the dramatic landscapes and Claire likes stormy skies too, cue Peter! Also Claire was looking for the perfect excuse to wear her Hunter wellies on her wedding day! We could have spent all day here, such amazing and dramatic scenery, but there was a wedding party to get back to!!!

Many thanks to Anthony (owner of The Saddleworth Hotel) for his sterling assistance in handling the lighting at Dovestones… With lot’s of jolly banter too :)
