A Harry Potter themed wedding at The Hillbark Hotel or should that be Hogwarts!

Anna & Garrath booked the Pixies almost instantaneously! They just loved our photos and especially Peter’s love of dramatic landscapes and skies!

A Harry Potter themed wedding day

When we first met Anna and Garrath before the wedding they revealed their plan to have a Harry Potter theme :) not sure whether we were more excited or them! When we arrived on their big day we were most impressed with the chocolate frogs, Bertie Bots Every Flavour Beans, the amazing table decorations and wedding favours, we just knew it was going to be a magical day :)

Wedding nerves

Anna was quite nervous about being photographed, so opted not to have any bride-getting-ready shots, so our first glimpse was when she arrived in the Bentley – nervous but looking very much the part!

Cheshire weather for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony

Anna really wanted an outdoor ceremony and got her wish with perfect weather, entering the stone gazebo to harp music… the Harry Potter theme, of course! Canapes and drinks on the lawn, all very picture perfect :) Following a few bride and groom shots in the grounds of the Hillbark Hotel Garrath and Anna entered the ‘great hall’ via the balcony walk, again to the Harry Potter theme – perfect, just add floating candles!

Straight after their emotive speeches we grabbed some very theatrical shots utilising extra lighting with some ‘magical’ touches and a few props we cunningly brought with us, check out the pics! The evening continued in the amazing starlight marquee with fantastic rock music from the Lowtones.

Thanks Garrath and Anna, we just loved the theme and our wedding favour pressies too :)
