So we’ve put together a selection of some Yorkshire wedding venues we’ve shot at before and some others too where we’d just love to photograph your wedding! Hopefully our little guide of some of the best Yorkshire wedding venues (mostly West and South Yorkshire) will give you some good ideas whether you be planning a outdoor glamping style wedding party or a more luxury classic refined celebration. Happy wedding planning and see you in Yorkshire. For our availability for your Yorkshire wedding photography just fill in our contact form. Before you get stuck into all the venues, have a flick through our Yorkshire wedding photography gallery above, there’s loads more pics from across the UK on our portfolio page too :)
A stately home or castle perhaps!
Yorkshire has it’s fair share of castles and stately homes. which make for absolutely fantastic classic backdrops for your wedding photos. All of these venues would definitely give a strong sense of luxury, style and grand presence to your wedding, a day your guests won’t forget!
Cannon Hall, Hazelwood castle, Allerton Castle – definitely makes a statement, Fixby Hall, Carlton Towers – both spectacular & grand, Wortley Hall, Wentworth Woodhouse – South Yorkshire’s hidden gem of a MASSIVE stately home!
A piece of history
Your wedding is a fairly historic event in your life, so why not surround yourselves with history either in bricks and mortar or surrounded by artefacts from the past! The mixture of old weather worn buildings, dramatic interiors or rusting antiquities is a fantastic juxtaposition in your photographs against the sparkle and smiles of a wedding day. For this perfect combination have a nosey at some of these venues…..
Elsecar Heritage – steam train perhaps :), Hazelwood Castle – grand in every sense of the word, Rise Hall – Sarah Beenys place, Wentworth Castle – looks epic please can we come too, Oakwell Hall and Country Park – 16th century hall paired with 19th century barn, Grays Court – York city centre mixed with country house style, Nostell Priory – sweeping drive, ornate interiors, rose gardens and even it’s own church too, very English (Yorkshire!!), Kelham Island Museum – industrial heritage, with a capital ‘I’ and photography heaven! ;) For something historic with a rustic romantic wedding feel you simply can’t beat York Hospitium, gorgeous light filled stone building down stairs for your ceremony and beamed barn feel upstairs for the evenings festivities and surrounded by gardens and a ruined abbey we’d join you there in a shot!
