How many photographs will you take? The amount of pictures depends on a number of factors including; weather, season (short days in winter), size of wedding party and most importantly the time allocated for photographs, when you look through magazines at a celebrity weddings for example, all those images were more than likely taken the day before or after the wedding day. Things can be a rushed so, please allow time in your planning for the photographs. Generally speaking I will capture enough to allow a selection of approximately 300 photographs (usually more in Summer) for you to keep.
How quickly will the photographs be ready? You’ll be presented with all your photographs on disc approximately two weeks after your wedding day.
Do you photograph everyone at the wedding? I endeavour to photograph as many people as possible in a comfortable and interesting repose, unfortunately some people are camera shy and will move away, some people simply don’t want their picture taken and others just get unlucky. An additional photographer being present will increase the amount of reportage images. But, if there are people you specifically want photographing just give me a nod. The best time to photograph everyone in a big group is immediately following the service.
How much time should we allow for photographs? As a guide, ten group shots would take about 30/40 minutes. Immediately after the group photography is the ideal time for bride and groom shots, where we'd take a break from the wedding party and spend between 40 and 60 minutes on your photography. Please bare in mind good photography can’t be rushed.
Will you need any assistance? Yes, if you are having group shots people will need to ba assembled by your ushers, once the correct people have been assembled I can then arrange them.
Do we need to meet? Ideally yes, just so we get a better understanding of each other, not to mention recognising each other too. A second meeting within a week of your wedding is also a good idea, to finalise the details and so eliminate any last minute surprises.
